Ambassador Khaled Bahah had the privilege of visiting the Canadian Medical Delegation in London, Ontario from April 07 to April 10, 2009. During his valuable visit the Ambassador met with Professor Driedger Oncology Nuclear Medicine Team Member, and Professor Rachinsky, Acting Chief of the Nuclear Medicine Department of the University of Western Ontario. The Ambassador was also delighted to be offered a tour of the Nuclear Medicine Department at the university Teaching Hospital. Discussions were held on medical training, medical research and implementation for Yemen and the visions to improve its medical system.

During his visit, the Ambassador also had the chance to meet with Professor Robinson, an ex-officio Team Leader, and Hugh Allen, Professor of Gynae and Obstetric Surgery Team Member. His Excellency then attended a meeting with Professor Vandenberg Medical Oncologist and Team Leader, Professor John Yoo, Chair and Head of Neck Surgery Team Member, Dr. Mohamed Basahi Director of Laboratory Medicine/ Medical Genetics Team Member and Ms. Catherine Kirk, Director of London Regional Cancer Program Team Member. This was followed by a tour of the London Regional Cancer Centre.

The visit included an exquisite dinner in honour of the Ambassador, prepared and hosted by Dr. Mohammed Basahi at his residence.

Finally, the trip concluded with a lunch hosted by Professor Garcia, Vice-Dean and Chair of Pathology Schulich Medical School at UWO where the Ambassador met along with other faculty members. Lunch was followed by a tour of the Medical and Dentistry School.
